On Saturday our U8 Pingvins played their first matches against Malmö for 2021 with many playing tag rugby for the first time and some returning U8 players from 2021. The team played two matches with some great skill on show from both teams so early in the season. 

The day was even more special being that it was the last competitve matches played on Pilevallen which brings the curtain down on a pitch that is steeped in history. It was a bitter sweet day knowing that no more games will be played on our beloved ground but at the same time there was great pride from coaches and parents knowing the clubs future is bright with 11 players taking the field in the U8 age group. 

New U8 head coaches Angel & Patrick Mortenson ran the team for the first time with great efficiency with all players leaving the pitch tired and exhausted  after putting in 100% effort but most importantly with huge smiles on their faces!

We look forward to the next matches in Lund on the 5th of June.
